Son Lux – Flickers (Zeds Dead Remix) [FREE Download]

Zeds Dead, more like Zeds…

Give me a minute here.

Zeds…uhh, AHEAD!

There it is. Boom, bitches. Jake’s back and he’s badder than ever. Now, onto the main event.

Ah yes, Zeds Dead is notably ahead of the game when it comes to producing quality, dubstep-influenced tunes time and time again. Consistency is a trait to be admired in an artist, especially when speaking of electronic dance music producers. It seems all too often these days I disappointingly find myself unfulfilled when a prospective up-and-coming DJ’s follow-up releases simply cannot hold water in comparison to their former track (which originally caught my ears).

Canadian producers DC and Hooks of Zeds Dead are indeed some of the first artists that come to mind in a discussion regarding the best producers in the electronic dance music game.

Tell me I’m wrong. Do it. I swear to Allah, I will take you out.

Adventure Club – Calling All Heroes Pt. I

In the realm of electronic dance music, when the words “Canadian dubstep” are read aloud or mentioned in a conversation, one generally tends to gravitate towards three names: Excision, Zeds Dead and those dashingly good looking boys in Red and Blue. Naturally, we are speaking of Adventure Club.

A few days ago, Christian Srigley and Leighton James released one of their most dynamic and fresh productions to date. Appropriately matching the duos general motif, Calling All Heroes is a multi-genre, progressive masterpiece. A true highlight for this Rager has to be Adventure Club’s third track on the album. Not only does ‘Crash’ provide that signature AC lyricism (poppy/emotive/relative), but the drop is an entirely different beast. When juxtaposed against the vocalists words, the breakdown of this jam just feels right. It’s deep, it’s minimal and it’s dirty. Normally, I steer clear of songs that share this track’s layout, but, for whatever reason, Adventure Club makes it simply awesome.

Every single song on this EP is fantastic. We are certainly not bullshitting here. And guess what???

You can listen to Adventure Club’s brand new release for free, right here! Enjoy and Rage On.

OMG IT’S THROWBACK THURSDAY #TBT #BLESSED

Throwback Thursday:

Definition: When you put a picture from a “while” ago on your social media sites.

Example–

OMG! Throwback Thursday! I need to find a totes heinous pic of me and the girls from like two years ago to blast on FB, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Tumblr. People are going to be like, ‘Wow, Cindy lost weight!'”

In the spirit of yet another #TBT, here are some of our favorite throwback jams from way back when.

The mysterious duo Qulinez have created some of our favorite EDM tunes, but where’s the album? I guess no one cares when you’re producing songs like this next roundhouse kick to the face.

Whose motorcycle is this?
It’s a chopper baby.
Whose chopper is this?
It’s Zed’s.
Who’s Zed?
Zed’s dead baby, Zed’s dead.

This next track takes us way back to a time when Excision and Datsik worked side by side, paving the way for the dubstep community. Swagger for days with these two.

I get a good feeling this next jam has been played one too many times at hippy college parties, but understandably so. What’s not to love about this funkadelic tune?

In the words of Dillon Francis’ alias, DJ Hanzel, “Das track goes von deeper Dillon, but you’ll never be able to go deeper than me!”
