(NEW) The M Machine | Space Jams (OWSLA After Dark Pt. III) & ‘DNA’ Remixes

Earlier this week, OWSLA signee The M Machine dropped some new tunage for your delicate little ears to try and process.

Their OWSLA After Dark Mix was created for the ever popular BBC1x Radio show, Mistajam. By creatively using dispersed vocal samples of Charlie Chaplin’s ‘The Great Dictator’ as transitory elements, the dynamic trio have produced a compilation of monumental proportion. But that’s not all.

Just a few days later, The M Machine released two remixes of Empire of the Sun’s hit track, “DNA”, on their SoundCloud. Interestingly enough, both remixes are dedicated to a specific Greek deity. The first remix paid tribute to the God of music, poetry, plague, oracles, sun, medicine, light and knowledge – Apollo. Similarly, the second remix honored that of Helios, the God of the Sun. We really aren’t sure as to why The M Machine decided to channel their inner Mt. Olympus, but we’re not complaining.

Make sure to check out both versions of “DNA”, as well as the track list of Space Jams after the break.

Avicii – Let Me Show You Love (Don’t Give Up On Us) [Tom Swoon Edit] [Happy]

After shedding his former alias, Pixel Cheese, Tom Swoon has been on a tear in 2013. This Polish progressive house prodigy knows how to touch up an already fantastic piece of musical artwork.

Mr. Swoon continues to keep us happy here at Rager Onions this year. His remix of ‘Open Your Heart‘ by Jimmy Carris has been a staple in the Rager playlist for the past month or so. However, it appears as if a new track will be taking its place with the release of Tom’s edit to Avicii’s ‘Let Me Show You Love (Don’t Give Up On Us).’

Tom Swoon is no stranger to success. While producing under his former name, his mashup of David Guetta & Avicii vs. Laidback Luke titled ‘Till Sunshine’ gained the attention of 12 million viewers worldwide. But remixing is not the only thing in Swoon’s repertoire, his debut singles ‘Elva‘, ‘Who We Are‘ and ‘Not Too Late‘ were all released on Ultra Records and gained support from the likes of Tiesto, Bassnectar & Patrick Reza. The latter two of which collaborated on a remix of Swoon’s third single on Ultra.

Now Tom Swoon gives us this beautiful edit to one of Avicii’s masterpieces. To quote another Tom, Thom Yorke, it appears as if Swoon has “everything in its’ right place” on this re-work. The vocals are bar none the best part of Tom’s touch up. Personally, I could not help but belt them out of my car window while cruising during my thirty minute break from work. If you liked the original please be sure to give this re-styling a listen. You will not be disappointed.
