Weekend Anthem | The Wanted – We Own The Night (The Chainsmokers Remix)

Smile, it’s Friday my hard working onions!

Now whose ready for a weekend anthem?

Being the music maniac that I am, I depend on the energy of new music to amplify the anticipation of a legendary weekend. As of 4:00 PM on Friday afternoon, if I have yet to stumble across this perfect tune, I find myself scurrying through SoundCloud to retain some semblance of a quality piece of production. And yea, you called it: I’m that guy at every house party positioned next to the iPod hookup all night screaming,

Dude! This song is sick! Just wait for the drop. It’s coming.

The drop seems to never come.

The Chainsmokers remix of “We Own The Night” brings with it everything you need for a solid weekend – fun-loving vocals, an energetic beat and that feel-good vibe that pushes Friday night into Saturday morning. So tonight, when a chick puts on Miley Cyrus at the house party, be that guy! Unplug the speakers, tell everyone to shut the f*** up, and throw on this jam.

Bro hugs will ensue. Embrace it.

Boner Jams Vol. 2

It’s time again for another edition of Boner Jams: the songs we love, but did not have the time to thoroughly post on.

Call it lazy, call it whatever you want. All that we truly care about is making sure that you hear these fantastical beats. So without further ado, we give you some real Boner Jams. You know, the stuff that makes us stiff in the pantaloons.

Just Bros – The Chainsmokers Remix ‘Operate’ by ASTR [Indie Prog House] [FREE]

Alex Pall and Drew Taggart certainly know how to remix an indie track. They also know how to gain our attention.

Their latest operation, a remix of the song ‘Operate’ by ASTR, serves to further justify the validity of their style. Personally, when this Rager isn’t rocking out to EDM, he’s chilling on some indie vibes. That being said, what could be better than a combination of both the raw power of electronic  dance music and the melodic bliss that is indie rock? If you dig both genres, like myself, The Chainsmokers are a quintessentially fit to please any listener.

We know that Drew and Alex are super pumped about this song so we couldn’t help wanting to share it with you. This remix seems to have really come together nicely for The Chainsmokers. The duo had this to say about it’s creation:

“With amazing vocals and instrumentation like in the original, this song was sorta true to the expression ‘don’t try to teach an old dog new tricks’…. the song was already so full, so we weren’t trying to revolutionize it, even stripped of its instrumental it had class, it was really just a matter of finding sounds that were simple. We see our remixes as always being these colorful emotional experiences and this whole song is this dark plush sponge of red, and once we found our sounds, within an hour the melody was set, and it was just a question of pouring sand into a bottle of rocks.”

After a few #1 tracks on Hype Machine, these cigarette loving bros are set to blaze. They give all the credit to the people that love them most: the listeners. Well, you’re a listener, aren’t you? How about showing them some love via their SoundCloud and maybe buying a song for once in your damn life!

This song get’s better every time we hear it.

Oh you liked that? Well then try these.
