Bass Meant To Be Felt, Not Heard: Destroid — The Invasion EP [HEAVY][Massive Collaboration]

Slowly but surely, artists in EDM have been teaming up to create super-group identities.

Steve Angello, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso = Swedish House Mafia

Skrillex, Boys Noize = Dog Blood

ATrak, Armand Van Helden = Duck Sauce

Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen = Knife Party

Skrillex, Diplo = Jack U (This is a new artist persona in the making. The duo is set to reveal their new identity during the Mad Decent Block Party Tour.)

Excision, Downlink, and KJ Sawka (former Pendulum drummer) = Destroid

Not many artists are known for having bass so heavy that ear cavities don’t suffice; bass so deep that it can best be described as a feeling that overtakes your entire body upon impact. After releasing their two singles ‘Raise Your Fist‘ and ‘Blast Off’ on their own independent label, the crew has released their first album titled The Invasion. The group has also picked San Francisco for their first live show at the end of the month. What will set Destroid apart from most modern day shows is their use of futuristic symbols and videos to convey underlying social media and marketing concepts. They also create online graphic novels to create a stir about future work.

Their tagline: Elevate Your Existence.

Musical Adrenaline: 8 Great EDM Songs To Run To [Happy]

4

We like to mix things up around here. And by mix it up, we mean offer helpful advice.

While Buzzfeed might show you the 11 Best Names For Your Pet Turtle, Rager Onions is showing you some great songs to run to. Whether it’s outside, on the treadmill, or to the Mexican border. If you’re allergic to jogging, you can also use these for  jumping rope, power walking, or jumping around. But still, consider this list Volume 1.

And happy trails.

1. I put this first for a reason. It’s a great track to loosen up with, until you realize your left shoe is untied. When you tie it back up and regain your focus, Gareth Emery will still be there.

2. This list wouldn’t be complete without Dash Berlin. Don’t let the soft intro fool you, this track will have you sprinting before you can say Dash. The vocals are a bit melancholy, but that’s not always a bad thing.

3. Not quite as melancholy, but still golden for all you drama queens out there. Like we always say, Audien is awesome.

4. A newer track from King Armin Van Buuren and his most recent vocal counterpart, Trevor Guthrie. The W&W remix is a bit slower, but also phenomenal.

5.  Another one we pulled from the archives. Paul Oakenfold might be old, but he knows a thing or two about making great running music. Or maybe that’s just a coincidence. Either way, another gem for the gym.

6. The original version of this song, formerly known as Mode, was already awesome. But then Bingo Players added vocals from Heather Bright, and re-mastered their own creation. It actually might just make you want to run to the nearest bar or club. That’s cool too, but you’ve been warned.

7. If this song could only have three things on a remote island, it would probably bring Steve Angello, AN21, and Max Vangeli. Maybe food and water, but who knows.

8. When you’re at the end of your rope, buy yourself another three minutes. Or download it. Thanks Martin Solveig.
