(NEW) Dirtyphonics | Hanging On Me Remix EP

The French electronic group known as Dirtyphonics recently released their remix EP Hanging On Me out now on Dim Mak Records.

The five song EP contains the original single “Hanging On Me” as well as the radio version for the less patient folk out there. Three unique and dissimilar remixes are also included in the purchase from the likes of Borgore & Ookay, Kastle and Slogun & iOh. Borgore went trap, Kastle incorporated minimal house, and Slogun and iOh turned to drum and bass.

Our favorite?

Slogun and iOh take the cake on this one.

DC and Hooks have a long history together. Their friendship was forged over a mutual passion for Hip-Hop and music production when they were merely teenagers. Very early in the duo’s career, they produced an LP of hip-hop influenced instrumentals titled Fresh Beetz, but a stagnancy in the scene left the boys craving from something new and fresh.

In 2009 they began their introduction into electronic dance music. Zeds Dead is the tandem’s effort to coagulate ‘the ecstasy and comradery of house, the heart pummeling thrill of Drum and Bass, the beauty of ambient music, and the heaviness of electro – all in one sound’. Since then, the sky has been the limit for Zeds Dead. With countless releases on many of the leviathan labels in EDM, DC and Hooks have solidified their name among the biggest names in the business. Working on a largely dubstep-influenced platform, Zeds Dead is sure to get your blood pumping next week in Chicago.

They are certainly a group you will regret passing up.

Motivational Monday with Diplo, Flux and Friends 2013 [BBC Radio 1] [FREE DL]

1

Mondays are tough.

It’s the start of the work week, and the weekend is as far away as possible. Endorphins are at an all time low, so we wanted to help the cause. Diplo decided to let fellow dub-enthusiast Flux Pavilion take over his weekly BBC Radio 1 show ‘Diplo & Friends’ over the weekend. Flux tore it up, dropping new original mixes from some of Circus Records‘ finest young producers, as well as dropping some of his future tracks to come over the next year.

Like we said before, Mondays can be tough. Good music, good food, and good friends can help you get you through.  We can’t really help find you friends, and we are certainly not cooking for you. So for now, enjoy the music.
