Laidback Luke & Hardwell – Dynamo (Will Sparks Remix) [Mixmash Records]

And. Here. We. Go.

Will Sparks, the 20- year old DJ and producer from Melbourne, Australia, has a unique musical style known for its’ electro house rhythm with a twist of big room house. He is most well known for his remix of ‘Hello’ by Stafford Brothers feat. Lil Wayne & Christina Milan that reached #1 on the electro-house Beatport charts earlier this year as well as his own single ‘Ah Yeah’ that reached #3 on the Top 10 Beatport charts. His tracks have received support from some huge names like David Guetta, Dada Life, Madeon, A-Trak, and Chuckie.

Wills’ productions are known for their deep bass lines and hard hitting synths, and his latest remix of Laidback Luke & Hardwells’ ‘Dynamo’ does not disappoint. The song starts with a low EQ clap that rises into a growling kick drum just begging to be dropped. And when it does, prepare to head bob like never before.

We’re talking head in the clouds and back down to the ground, faster than Usain Bolts’ brother, Insane.

Repeat head bobbing until song completion.

And then, press replay.

Tim Mason, A Progressive House Mastermind [HAPPY][Artist Spotlight]

If carnies (you know, carnival folk) liked progressive house, these songs would be played at every town fair in the world. Each track engulfs the listener with happy-go-lucky melodic strokes, followed by a consistent, hard-hitting base line. When I listen, I picture neon lights flashing with carousels spinning on the horizon. I picture myself strolling through an electronic amusement park, surrounded by a sea of strobe-lights, corn dogs, and ravers like me. Why can’t all carnivals be like this?

Well, if you bring Tim Mason with, they can be!

Hailing from Brighton, this producer was championed onto the scene with heavy support from Steve Angello. His first big hit, ‘The Moment’, received notable attention from primed producers like Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, David Guetta, The Chemical Brothers, and Calvin Harris.

Since signing with Steve Angello’s label, Size Records, Tim Mason has continued to produce high-quality jams with infectious melodies.

Mad Mister Mason (not to be confused with that Beatles song about some loner), prides himself on remixing his own original tracks. He appropriately titles these songs “O.M.G edits” (OMG = Original Music Garnished). Looks like this Brit doesn’t stop until he gets it right.

Do not fear, we’ll have more Tim Mason coming ‘Swoon’.

A Progressive House Masterpiece: Daddy’s Groove – Stellar [HAPPY]

Every so often a song comes out. A song you never want to get out of your head. A song with the melodic prowess to ring throughout every club from Chicago to Ibiza. Powerful lyrics that reach far and wide, across all demographics, and written for any age of emotion.

All the stars in an endless sky
Couldn’t shine as bright as you and I
The way you’re making me feel tonight
Stellar fuckin’, stellar.

Thanks to Daddy’s Groove, this is one of those songs. The Italian trio has already collaborated with big names like David Guetta & NERVO in the past, but something tells us they won’t be up and coming for long.

Fuckin’…Stellar.
