9 Brand New Songs That You Need To Hear

According to the internet, a lot of new electronic dance music came out this week.

Exciting! And obviously, this is a must-listen. But we already talked about how epic, sick, dirty, and nasty Nero’s new song “Satisfy” is (click the link dude).

Unless you were on a hiatus from real life this week, you probably noticed that Nero wasn’t the only artist who dropped some fresh jam-sauce this week. That’s right, I said jam sauce.

In fact, there’s quite a spectrum of “jam sauce” to choose from. That’s why I’ve taken precious time out of my precious day to provide you with these precious songs.

Hope you’re happy with yourself.

Ranked in order of how much I liked them (start your own blog), here’s 9 Brand New Songs That You Need To Hear:

9. Aether | Picture Perfect

Chops got me like “damn son”.

8. Lane 8 | Every Night

For lack of a more bro way to say this, ‘Every Night’ is pretty much a 9/10 on the ‘chill scale’.

7. Coldplay | Sky Full Of Stars (Bombs Away Bounce Bootleg)
You can’t go wrong with Coldplay vocals (well, sometimes). You can’t go wrong with Bombs Away (well, Melbourne bounce in general). And you certainly cannot go wrong with a free download.
But all three? Now that’s just crazy.

6. DotEXE | My New Addiction

I feel inspired to produce my own romantic comedy (featuring Kate Hudson) when I listen to this. But really, the title says it all.

This song is addicting.

Give into the peer pressure.

Everybody’s doing it.

5. Adventure Club | Wonder (ANDRU Remix)

‘Wonder’ might be one of the best songs of the year. So it’s no wonder why a trap remix would be any different.

4. Favright | Taking Over (feat. Cassandra Kay)

Another monster jam from one of Monstercat’s finest.

3. White Rabbit | Let’s Be Friends (REMIX)

Remixing your own song is bold. Then again, so is naming yourself “Let’s Be Friends” when you create raging dub step melodies. Everything that Let’s Be Friends does is bold and simply bodacious.

And I love everything about it.

2. Gabriel Rios | Gold (Thomas Jack Remix)

Remember earlier when I said ‘Every Night’ is a 9/10 on the ‘chill scale’.

Well, this song is like a 9.5, out of 9.5.

1. Porter Robinson – Sad Machine

I’ve listened to this song 13 times today.

Do I need to say more?

Hey Loser: Pegboard Nerds Are Playing In Chicago This Friday

We’re getting real jacked up for this Friday night.maxresdefault

Why? Well first, because it’s Friday night. But this particular Friday night, Pegboard Nerds are coming to town.

Making their way into the Windy City on their Bassline Kickin‘ tour – the dubstep duo from Denmark will make a long-anticipated visit to the Chicagoland area. For us here at Rager, any up-and-comer from Monstercat is a must-see. So if you haven’t heard of the nerds yet, we’ll give you a proper introduction.

In two words, their music can be defined best as ‘crazy shit’. With the release of their new single Bassline Kickin’, and a few killer remixes (including Krewella’s Live For The Night and Adventure Clubs Wonder) – the Pegboard Nerds have been been keeping quite busy as of late.

What’s even cooler about this Friday night’s show is that they’ll be playing at Subterranean in Wicker Park...which we’ve heard is a pretty neat little venue.

Doors open at 9pm, as Dirty Noize and LVMB & TVNA will get the show started. Tickets are still available for $15, and you can get them right here.

Thanks to React Presents, this should be one wild little night. Don’t believe us? Hear for yourself.

A few of our favorites from Pegboard Nerds:

1. Razor Sharp
Obviously.

2. We Are One
The song that really set the bar for Pegboard.

3. Krewella – Live For The Night (Pegboard Nerds Remix)
Chi-city love.

Adventure Club | Wonder ft. The Kite String Tangle (T-Mass Remix)

Thomas Allen of T-Mass has been producing his own original blend of lush, highly melodic dubstep music for a little over two years now. What first caught our attention when listening to this next artist was his ability to develop and grow his sound over the extent of a single production. T-Mass’ tracks always possess a certain singular movement that evokes feeling and can almost even tell a story. The songs rise, climax, fall and decay just like any great piece of literature would.

Thomas’ most recent release on SoundCloud, a remix to “Wonder” featuring The Kite String Tangle on vocals, was submitted as part of a contest taking place by Adventure Club, who originally produced the song. Mr. Allen actually cites AC as being one of his biggest influences, so we imagine he’d be pretty jacked if he manages to win this thing.

Like any of the other great songs by T-Mass, his remix to Adventure Club incorporates a simple, yet beautiful chord progression, beginning with a piano melody, resonating, chopped vocals and a unique, almost progressive house type build. Don’t let it fool you however, because after the drop, it’s only more of what we’ve seen from this Bay Area beast.

If you are as into this are we are, vote for it via the link attached below. If you think you can do better, enter yourself.
