Upon listening to this latest track by Spag Heddy, one of my fellow associates and I got into a somewhat heated argument about this next producer. Personally, I cannot help but become overly ecstatic with anticipation every time I receive an update on my cell, informing me about the most recent Spag release on SoundCloud. On the other hand, my coworker was coming from an angle that defended the fact that all of “this” (dubstep/drumstep: the music styles) had been done before.
While this may be partly true, I will staunchly adhere to and defend the counterpoint to this argument. Yes, the dubstep and drumstep scenes have basically been exhausted, however, what allows me to enjoy each and every one of Mischa productions are the feelings bestowed upon me by his music. And while I still believe his “tomato bass” to be whole-heartedly unique, to me, it’s the way he dominates his tracks. His chord progressions, synthesizer mods, and happy-go-lucky production style are what keep me coming back for a second, third and even fourth portion of his Spag Heddy and meat sauce.
Spag Heddy’s latest remix of “Not Taking This No More” by NERVO and Ivan Gough is another jam for your Rager playlist. Much like his remix to Example, Hardwell and Dannic (“Say Nothing“), Mr. Reining has proven that he can take an original jam of a polar opposite genre and completely turn it on its’ head. The epicness that is Beverley Knight’s vocal piece bellows out and resounds into Spag Heddy’s signature tomato drop sound. It all adds up to equal one hell of a new jam from MY FAVORITE DUBSTEP PRODUCER IN THE GAME CURRENTLY.
Yeah, I said it. Wanna fight about it?
This is exactly how I feel about Spag Heddy as well! His productions are on a whole other level. He releases them quite often as well and they never disappoint. I hope he continues to gain momentum.
