A statement was posted on Facebook by band member Maarten Hoogstraten which said: “Dear All, I’m deeply saddened to tell you that Paul passed away last night after his battle with cancer.”

In July, Baumer announced on the duo’s fan page that he had been diagnosed with cancer. Baumer previously said that he would continue working in the studio as well as taking lead in running the Hysteria record label while receiving medical treatment. He also said that Hoogstraten would be “representing them on the road”. He also said Baumer had fought his cancer “strongly until the end”.

Paul, we will miss you.
