These days, the electronic music scene has more youngsters than you can shake a gnarled fist at. Heck, you can’t swing a dead cat these days without hitting one. Okay, enough with the awful idioms. On to good music.
This whippersnapper from Mystic, Connecticut was inspired to test the waters of EDM production after his first encounter with the genre at the ripe age of 15. With a standard set up and a plethora of plug-ins, Nate Rathbun aka Audien began to craft his electronic idiosyncrasies. Gravitating towards a more progressive house and trance vibe, Audien has not gone unnoticed. Now that he’s a few years older, his perfected songs have been featured on extremely well known DJ mixes including: Ferry Corsten, Hardwell, Tiësto, Above & Beyond. and Armin Van Buuren. Actually, his track titled ‘Wayfarer’ was the first track ever played on Above & Beyond’s radio show Group Therapy.
Not too shabby huh?
The preview of his forthcoming release ‘Ciao’ is a testament to the glory that is Audien’s productions. We’ve kept a careful eye on Nate for a while now and we firmly believe he deserves a little more credit than he is currently given. Ciao just gives us another reason to rage this summer in the Chi. We hope it finds you, wherever you are. The full track will be released June 3rd on Beatport via Trice Recordings.
